Direct Health (now called Direct Health) is proud to support independent primary care practitioners in South Africa. Joining forces with the Alliance of South African Independent Practitioners Associations (ASAIPA), Direct Health will be a key sponsor of the first National Medical Awards (NMA).
The National Medical Awards are aimed at recognising the invaluable contributions of the country’s independent primary care doctors and are anticipated to be the industry’s most sought-after award. Categories are based on peer nomination and include:
• Practitioners contributing to independent private practice.
• Recognition for embracing digital solutions to achieve better patient and business outcomes.
• Organisations, groups or individuals enhancing the medical profession’s standing in the community.
• Young practitioner’s recognition.
• Achievement by colleagues in non-medical fields.
Neil Kinsley, managing director in South Africa stated,
“Direct Health fully supports independent practitioners and many in our Direct Health doctor community have chosen our application for the very independence it creates— as well as the freedom to diagnose and prescribe anytime and anywhere. We are proud to support ASAIPA members and the recognition these awards provide to those who are changing the way that people access healthcare.”
Dr. Unben Pillay, ASAIPA CEO, further commented that,
“ASAIPA is honoured that Direct Health chose to support the first National Medical Awards (NMA) and we look forward to sharing the stage with them whilst celebrating our local practitioners.”
