Direct Health (now called Direct Health) is thrilled to welcome Ryan Minarovich as our new corporate counsel. Ryan is a licensed attorney based in San Diego with specialized expertise in health information technology and emerging growth. He has dedicated his career to helping startups and mobile healthcare technologies navigate policy and build successful go-to market strategies.

Background and Professional Experience

Before joining Direct Health as Corporate Counsel, Ryan was Corporate and Securities Attorney at Pillsbury Winthrop, a prestigious law firm focused on M&A and representing healthcare and digital health companies. Prior to this, he served as the director for the non-profit HIMSS coalition Personal Connected Health Alliance (PCHA) in charge of growing membership and establishing Connected Health policy groups.

Ryan was the co-founder and principle at the Tenzing Group providing regulatory, go-to-market and legal analyses services to a wide-range of healthcare technology companies. As a health policy subject matter expert, he is also a frequent speaker and guest blog writer on the topic of regulation and healthcare technology.

Ryan is originally from Phoenix, but grew up in Southern California. He received his undergraduate degrees in economics and politics from the University of California Santa Cruz with Dean’s List Honors. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law.

“I’m excited about working with a product I believe in,” said Minarovich. “Providing a communication platform for doctors and patients to connect is going to be especially vital for remote communities, underserved populations, new parents and people who need quick access to doctors but may not be able to have an in-person visit.”
