HOW DO I GET A HOLD OF MY PROVIDER IF HE IS OFFLINE?

Doctors have busy schedules and are not always able to respond right away due to surgeries, appointments, etc. We recommend you give your doctor 24 hours to get back online and respond. If it is a medical emergency, please call 911 or your doctor’s office

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAR BACK FROM MY PROVIDER?

Replies vary from an instant reply to 24 hours depending on your provider’s schedule and the time of day when the message is sent. You are able to see your provider’s average response time (during business hours only) on the message screen between you and your provider.

WHAT DO I DO? I NEED TO SPEAK WITH A PROVIDER BUT DO NOT HAVE ONE.

Not a problem! For patients in certain states*, Direct Health comes preloaded with a network of providers across a wide range of specialties to answer your questions. These providers have a modest consult fee that they will charge at the end of your consult with them.**
If you don’t see a provider that you’d like to speak to or reside in a state where this network is still being created, you can use the Add Doctors section of the app to search, browse, and invite doctors to Direct Health.
* – Currently available in: AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, KY, MI, NJ, OR, SC, TN, TX, WI.
** – Subject to applicable state and federal regulations.

E-PRESCRIBE

At any time, your doctor can electronically send prescriptions to a pharmacy of your choice using our e-prescribe feature as long as you have entered your date of birth in your account beforehand. You do not need to enter pharmacy information in your app, your doctor will complete all pharmacy information when they go to submit the prescription. You may need to provide your doctor with your pharmacy information at the time of the consult.

CAN I TAKE A PICTURE OF AN X-RAY OR MEDICAL DOCUMENT AND SEND IT TO MY PROVIDER?

Absolutely! We encourage you to upload and save all medical information you may have in your profile. Direct Health allows you take photos or upload them from your drive or photo library. See the steps pictured below
